Walk down Preston Street and you’ll find come across many great restaurants and bars. From outside, The Moonroom is an unremarkable house with a small front porch. But that changes quickly once you step inside. White drapes cover the ceiling, with purple lights glowing beneath, mimicking a full moon hiding behind the clouds on a summer night. A small, candle-lit, intimate bar with narrow corridors serving craft cocktails. What’s not to like?

The Moonroom is really not the new kids on the block. This cocktail bar opened over a decade ago and was one of Ottawa’s first late night spots for craft cocktails, small plates and relaxed music. In 2018, The Moonroom was recognized by Canada’s 100 Best.
